We branded a town! David Farmer, owner of Ad Giants and a former agency whiz, was asked the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce to produce a series of videos promoting the benefits of relocating to Mansfield, TX. But they didn’t want the usual pretty pictures with needledrop from the 90s. David suggested they take the approach that everything is so wonderful in Mansfield right now, the town leaders would rather keep it that way. I was hired as writer and Stewart Cohen as director. I wrote a “Music Man” open, and we used local improv actors to sell the storylines. We had one day to shoot, and the budget dictated we do it all in and around their offices. While it was one of the most “Our Gang” productions I’ve ever been a part of, it was an absolute blast.
